Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA), earlier known as Sahar International Airport, is the primary international airport in Mumbai, India. It is named after the 17th century Maratha emperor, Chhatrapati Shivaji. The airport's IATA code is "BOM", which is derived from Bombay, Mumbai's former name.
Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport is divided into 2 Terminals: International Terminal (T2) and Domestic Terminal (1A, 1B). Both the terminals are approx. 5 Kms away from each other. The International terminal is located in the Andheri (East) suburb of Mumbai, whereas the domestic terminal is located in the Santacruz (East) suburb.
The new Terminal 2 complex airport will have one of the largest art spaces of any airport in the world, reportedly displaying over 6,500 items and with an art wall that stretches for 3,000 metres.
